Why are circuit boards designed to be curved?

When designing a circuit board, many layout lines are bent. Why are circuit board wire circuits designed to bend? There are 3 main reasons, which I will explain in detail below.

If the lines in the board are designed to be straight, the area of the board will increase several times. In today's era of pursuit of refinement, the smaller the area of the circuit board, the better, otherwise it will directly affect the area of electronic products. It is estimated that people's requirements for electronic products are: in addition to larger and larger screens, other things are getting smaller and smaller, and the thinner the better.

Second, even if we don't care about the size of the board, designing the lines in the board to be straight will cause other problems. In the circuit board, the lines definitely need to be turned. If we designed the board to be in a straight line, the angle of this turn would be ninety degrees. Such boards can easily be damaged during production due to the fact that circuits tend to have a lot of reflections when making 90-degree turns. In this case, not only will the material be extravagant, but even if the circuit board is manufactured successfully, it is prone to quality problems.

Third, the circuit on the circuit board is designed to be flexible to ensure the stability of the signal. Circuit board design is a technical activity, and the integrity of the signal can only be guaranteed if it is designed accordingly. The chip on the circuit board can only work properly if the signal is not disturbed.

The above is an analysis of the reasons why the circuit board is designed to be bent. If you still do not understand, you can consult our engineers through the contact information on the right side of this site~
